Well, another lb down - I expect the weight loss to start slowing down now. I'll be ecstatic if I can lose 1 more lb by the end of the week, getting back to my latest low of 145 lbs! So far I've been sticking to the plan, tracked again yesterday & got in a 3.5 mile run on the treadmill, also had the balsamic steak I'd planned on for dinner. Yesterday was a challenge because of the going-away party and the donuts. I did have one (count 'em, ONE!) chocolate-glazed donut, and I even threw away the last bite - score! Also went a full day with just 2 coffees and no diet Coke, so my esophagus feels a bit better today. Today is "treat" day, my sweetheart of a boss always brings Starbucks goodies on Wednesday. I did have the chocolate croissant; the rest of the day will be the 80% healthy low-cal meal plan for sure!!!

But there's one issue I still have to deal with. Last night after my run I "rewarded" myself with a Snickers ice cream bar. True, it was only 180 calories, but I'd already had a "treat" for the day. Part of my goal with this new plan (really just a re-commitment to tracking & meal planning) is to give myself non-food rewards for compliance, but yesterday I had a 2nd treat instead. It's an attitude problem I've clearly got to work on. I now think that 60% of weight loss occurs in the kitchen, 20% thru exercise, and the last, very important 20% is in the MIND! I've got to accept that I can't "run it off later," that tracking is important no matter how big a pain it is, and that I shouldn't automatically turn to food treats as rewards for good behavior or celebrations. That last one is going to be the hardest, but also probably the most important thing to accept and internalize. And also probably the most difficult thing to do - much harder than developing good habits of tracking, meal planning & exercise. Well, okay, it's done. I did it last night, but not tonight! Tonight I will reward myself with a cool drink of water and taking the latest Pottermore quiz, LOL!! Going for Wampus or Thunderbird, YESSSSS!!!
