Hipaagrammy's Journal, 13 May 2016

Well, I survived my first colonoscopy. It wasn't too bad. The worst part was the pre-diet and drinking a HUGE amount of prep solution. I was more concerned with the IV and nausea from the anesthesia, but those both turned out okay. And I am pleased to say no polyps were found and although the diagnosis of diverticula was confirmed, no abscess was found. The best news is I don't have to have another one for 10 years!

Today's weigh in may not be real. I had to fast yesterday, then drank the gross prep solution to clean out my system. But I also weighed myself at the hospital with all my clothes and shoes on. So we'll see how it settles on Monday.

We have a busy family weekend planned. Granddaughter #14's birthday party is at our house on Saturday, and then DS#5 will stay here the rest of the weekend until Monday morning during his parenting time with his two boys (Grandson's #8 & 12). I'm in charge of providing guacamole and the birthday cake and ice cream for the birthday party, but since the party is at my house I can eat whatever I want if the other party food doesn't fit my WOE.

I hope everyone has a blessed weekend!
