Well....all these fabulous friends of mine who are fixing us meals - are amazing cooks! Apparently, the scales thought so too. Up another 2 pounds! Oy Vey! Today, I can control things a bit better. No meals being delivered, and there is plenty here to work with now. Emotions are still in tact, which, honestly, gives me the giggles. Faith informs my emotions and all that I am, and that is all I can offer as an explanation for my attitude and outlook on life.
My MIL ended up in the ER yesterday, and they admitted her. Not sure what is going on with her heart, but its not good. So, that is yet another trial we are walking through at the moment. The insurance adjuster has a phone conference with DH today, so we are hoping to get the green light to start excavating the remains of the house. We have to get supports placed in the foundation asap. The hydrostatic pressure created when we start melting up here - is unbelievable. The entire garage and basement could easily cave in to the pressure. So...that is top on the list. I am supposed to start looking at home designs for the rebuild. Not at all excited about it.
