I attended my wife's high school reunion Saturday night. Here's some motivation: those people who have been working out, watching their weight, eating well, not smoking, and not drinking too much simply look better, healthier, and younger. I suspect they'll live longer too. Admittedly, it's a subjective observation, but I think it's right. For whatever it's worth, after observing this first hand, I ignored my own advice and let loose at the party (sort of). I had an extra glass of wine AND dessert. But I'm back on plan today. Great workout this morning -- weights and elliptical stepper.

BTW -- MY high school reunion is next week!
189.0 lb Lost so far: 16.0 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
gaining 10.5 lb a week

Oh my ... you totally reminded me of the CHEESECAKE I shoveled down my throat at a seminar on Friday! lmao Thank goodness it's a brand new day!

sounds like fun...hope your reunion goes well. my husbands reunion is in the spring. i think that is some motivation for both of us.

Good observation: I think you're right about all of that. Taking charge of our weight and health is one of the most important decisions we can make: congrats on making that choice (including the occasional celebration, of course). Have a great time at your reunion. I know your goal was to lose weight and be fit and healthy by the time your reunion came around: I think you've done very well! Your ability to stick to a workout routine on a daily basis is very impressive--a great motivation for me. :)

thats ok you have to have fun in life and that piece of dessert and glass of wine will not hurt you or make your health worse, your allowed to treat yourself and should do so with out beating yourself up. Your doing great and should be proud of that
