There are a lot of reasons for the ups and downs. Water retention is number one due to sodium content of foods and if you do have carbs, they soak up water. Just flush out with more water :) Don't stress :)

Ditto Kattay's remarks...and have nothing to add except to use the one day at a time philosophy. And when the day ends, no matter what "grade" the day or our efforts may merit, we move on...and tomorrow is ALWAYS a NEW day. Wishing you a week filled with Affirming people and healthy choices.

Thanks for all the nice comments and encouragment. It means a lot. And about the steps, I work in a hospital as a cna and some nights it's run run all night long and then some nights it's much slower. I try to take a walk every night on my lunch time but sometimes all I wanna do is chill for half an hour. I hope you are all doing well. Good thoughts.

Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations. It's normal for the scale to go up and down all the time, even when you do everything right.
