Despite my best efforts yesterday, my first social outing on this competition was a bit of a bust! I was out at a picnic/concert last night, and had packed and prepared well, ate an omelet before and took a chicken wrap and veggies to munch on, so i'd prevent temptation of all the wine, cheese, dessert and junk a 1000 people would be eating all around me!!! I sorta did good and completely resisted wine, but did end up munching on some of the forbidden! Here's the list of those:
1/2 a cookie,
a very tiny piece of a decadent sugar cookie
1 whole wheat pita
5 tsp hummus
3 sp tabouli
3 small pieces brie
light ranch with carrots and celery
1 strawberry
1/2 flatout chickn roll up (cold chickn? not so good!)..

This wasn't bad...the worse was the craving that hit me upon arriving very close to home. I just HAD to have some nuts!!! I stopped by and picked up some salty mixed nuts and had a couple of servings at home (finished all the cashews, a few almonds and a few peanuts)....

Perhaps that is why my weight yo-yo-ed back up to 138 this morning!! I also missed my workout so I feel bad about that.

This morning, I've tried to redeem some of the damage. I am doing my usual Monday fasting, so only had two large coffees with half and half, and plenty of water (3-4 liters!)...I keep feeling thirsty..maybe coz of the nuts and coffee...I hope the salt and fat gets flushed out by tomorrow!! I worked out somewhat today..
25 mins on treadmill: of which 9.5 mins was running in intervals (longest was 3 mins long, and fastest was 6.2 mph, highest incline was 4 for walking).
Hiphop class for an hour..not as strenous for cardio as they were mostly working on the choreography. I didn't like the instructor as much--too much idling away and not good planning! I prefer the zumba class...but I'll keep checking these out anyway. I also went to a swing class for an hour, but it was mostly basic moves, so not much cardio work either! I feel guilty that I didn't get a good enough workout despite the 3 hours in the gym!! Oh well. Tomorrow I gotta work harder and faster!!
138.0 lb Lost so far: 40.0 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

those darn nuts...they'll get ya every time! is there any way you can find some that are unsalted? otherwise, i don't think you did too badly! it was an outting that you totally deserved to take, so don't beat yourself up or you'll have to answer to ME for it! :) love ya!

It sounds like the nuts are mostly to blame but the weight should be gone shortly. Trader Joe's has some excellent cashews that are either unsalted or 50% less salt. d

Well you did the best you could under some tough food choice circumstances so I wouldn't get too down on yourself. And I hope that hip hop class picks up the pace to your liking.

Sometimes we just have those days when we want to munch...Lord knows I do. It's good that you picked right back up the next day. Don't feel too bad...you're back on track now!!

Must be something in the water, Girlfriend. I slipped up too, but it was a 4 day slip up. :( Getting on track ASAP is the key, and it looks like you are definitely doing that! :-)
