Weekly loss 1 pound. Monthly loss 5 pounds. Turtle movement? I would worry more for the weekly average cals in. From 1150 at winter to 850 at June.

Tasso67 is absolutely right...monthly loss of 5lbs is ideal; averaging 850 daily calories is way too low (anything under 1000 calories a day should be medically supervised). Your metabolism is going to adjust quickly with so few calories and what options do you have left then...drop your cals even lower? Consider maintaining for a couple of months and let your body recalibrate. After that you'll see results again dropping calories back down to 1150.

Calories for less is way different than calories to maintain. And everyone is completely different. If I eat the recommended 2000 calories a day I end up over 300lbs. 1400 and I maintain. My average caloric intake this week is 859. Daily goes from a solid 1200 down to around 500. I consciously never have the same food or calorie intake 2 days in a row. I've given up a few times and took in waaaay more calories than needed and gained accordingly. Between my top weight of 340 and bottom weight of 103 I've never hit a plateau. My current top weight is 195 and I'm setting a new "I'll never go over this weight" at 150, it was 200. When I hit 103 the Dr did a metabolism test. Then did another one. His final diagnosis was I have the metabolism of someone who's been dead 6 months. He didn't take into consideration that I was there for a matched set of concussions and nothing would stay down and my taste buds were screwed and I didn't have anyone to take care of me. 😔 This is my experience, your milage may vary.

You're absolutely right Tassos, and I appreciate your input. I typically try to aim between 1000-1300 cals a day. The past several weeks have been pretty hectic and I haven't been meeting my goals. With the exception of last weekend, however I didn't record on either day. I used to be obsessed with food, it was something always on my mind, and one of the first thoughts I would have when I woke up would be "What am I going to eat today?" I realize now that gradually, over the course of this journey, I've lost that obsessive need. Unless I'm hungry, I don't really think about food, so when I am busy it's hard to remember to eat. Which is so like me, I have a tendency to swing from one extreme to the other before balancing out in the middle😅. I need to work on finding a balance that works for me, I think I might start setting alarms on my phone to remind me to eat 😂
