xohhjeez's Journal, 08 September 2021

Well, hi again Fatsecret. Its been a while. 5ish years to be exact since I last weighed in, and almost 60 pounds heavier. At my weight loss peak, Fatsecret really helped, moreso than any other fitness/food trackers, so maybe I'll just head back to basics and try it out.

I'm now 31, and in whats probably the worst shape of my life. Now that I'm in my 30s, I really need to start taking care of myself so I can have a better future, and being morbidly obese isn't going to cut it. My depression and anxiety are worse, I barely work out, and I eat like garbage. I wish I could blame the pandemic, but I start gaining weight prior to that. I order out too much, and cook too little. My portion sizes are out of control. Hopefully I can curb my ordering out habits to lose weight and also save money/pay off a bit of debt.

Here's to yet another new start.
228.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 78.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

We are pretty much twins! I'm 32, and I had to restart weight loss at 220, after having got down to 155 several years ago. You can absolutely do it, follow request coming your way.

You've got support here for sure. I found myself in a similar situation weight-wise, and with my age being 51, I had to really change my habits to kick my metabolism in gear. I'm glad you're back here and send all my strength your way. I, also, know how hard Anxiety and Depression are to overcome. Small steps forward make a difference. You've taken one. Way to go.

Chances are that when you start eating healthier some of your depression and anxiety will ease. Getting additional help for these issues may be a good idea as well. Welcome back to FS, it is a good place for support.

Best of Luck! I found meal prepping to be my best defense. I even bought little containers so I could measure my food. I prepare a few days worth of those containers at a time then tell myself that is all I am allotted for the day.
