My shock on seeing an evening weight of 173 and a morning weight of 170, plus 53 blood sugar 4 hours after dinner and 93 this morning is very real. I have never had results like this. The Keto thing is actually working. Hopefully it is not considering internal damage of any kind. I am thinking of cutting out glypizide entirely if I have a protein only supper.

My goal is down to the 160's by about mid June. This seems very possible right now. No starch, only minimal fruit, a few strawberries and raspberries, and green veggies only --I have heard that every lb of fat holds 3-5 lbs of water. If that is true, then 3500 C being used up in about 8 days at 1200 or less a day would result in more than a lb lost.. Actual calorie burn at 78 years of age and fairly sedentary is unknown, of course, and I am just doing normal housework, some sewing and some tv watching. Within 8 days, however, I hope to make that lb of fat burn away. Even it has no water, I should be 169. If it does hold water, I might make 167-165 by May 24.
