As yoenepalmer said, log everything. Calories in, Calories out. You just need around less than a 750 kcal deficit per week to attain your goal.

fast at least 16 hrs. (8 hours of sleep, and 8 hours during morning work and exercise).
Drink 2 cups of water as soon as you get up and at least a cup every hour or so.
By the time you break the fast after 12 or 1pm you'll already have had most of your water requirements for the day, lubricating your brain, clearing your body, and preparing your body to shuttle the calories to muscles and energy instead of fat.
Look out for processed foods and transfats, that get stuck in the body because our cells haven't evolved to move them through and out efficiently
