Not out of the woods yet! Despite my best efforts at the restaurant, I realize eating out does come w/ a little weight gain the next day! As a result, am cancelling my dinner plans tonight--it's important for me to settle in a good weight rhythm, and if that means my social life will have to be put on a little hold, so be it!
167.4 lb Lost so far: 10.6 lb.    Still to go: 37.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 7.0 lb a week

Like the others, I don't think you ate poorly but you're right two days of eating out might equal trouble, no matter the content. You're doing incredibly well, I'm sure it will go back in the other direction. BTW, thanks for your comments on my journal, I appreciate the support!

Sometimes it is better to be safe than sorry although I think you would be very safe to eat out again. You make very healthy choices and you aren't afraid to ask your waiter for advice or ask for something to be omitted or served on the side. But I understand your reluctance to have to have lose the same pound or two over again. Once is enough!

Once again, I admire your commitment and I envy your social life. Hey, Guess What??!! White House Black Market is my favourite store in the whole world!!! I bought amazing dresses, cardigans, blouses, camisoles (size 14) in Detroit and we walked through one in Orlando recently. Thanks for the shopping tips -- browsing the websites is a good idea! The real thing is about an hour away, but the customs people charge a huge percentage to bring the stuff back to Canada (legally, that is...)

You don't have to cancel social plans, but instead maybe try eating at home/before leaving work first and then just enjoy a salad or a drink while you're out talking!
