BlueFront's Journal, 09 July 2018

At least my weight went in the right direction, if only a tiny bit this week, but I was hoping for at least a pound off this morning. It sure is coming off slowly. Seems so frustrating that I can gain 2 pounds in one day but it takes a week to lose 4 ounces, seriously screwy math. A parakeet doesn't weight that much. On the bright side, my blood glucose has been doing pretty good. It read 82 this morning and has been holding pretty steady for a couple months now. I don't go to get my bloodwork with its A1C checked again for about another month. I'm sure it has improved too. My nephew and his girlfriend got married this week. They are honeymooning in Cancun, Mexico now. I'm trying to talk my husband into taking another cruise. We used to go twice a year but that was before we retired, money's a little tighter now so we don't go as often.
196.6 lb Lost so far: 15.4 lb.    Still to go: 46.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Thanks for the suggestion. I know my protein might be lower than normal people. I'm not a big protein eater, I like poultry and fish but not beef or pork. I do eat eggs too. I'll see if I can up the protein a bit but I really prefer my veggies.

I used to raise parakeets. They are sweet little birds. At $20 each and not much meat on them they'd make an expensive meal, lol!

I did find an egg white protein powder recently that I've been using in smoothies that's helpful, it is expensive though.
