Another name for rigid dieting is yo-yo dieting. I've had enough of that. Flexible dieting is sensible eating.

YOYO is unhealthy and frustrating. Find a plan that works for you even if you make up your own. Did that for too long until I was faced with absolutely having to lose and keep it off. Hard look at my life and how I like to eat and cook. Made up my own plan and have on been sustaining that loss for 3 nearly 4 years. I did gain a little back with some health issues since October and the drugs that always make me gain. Now that I can finally workout again and do more those few pounds will go away. Actually only 3 pounds above my goal weight. I do like being a bit below though.

The only way “flexible dieting” can result in error is by improperly tracking food/calories/body weight. If everything is tracked intelligently and as accurately as possible, then no errors will be present in that regard. Just like “rigid dieting” it’s very common for people to overeat due to hunger in many instances, taking them out of a deficit, hence, improper tracking, leading to error, leading to “never losing a pound”.

If u can’t or won’t track accurately then of course it won’t work. But a good scale is the go to asset for people that need it

I've lost 14# being flexible. If I cut out any foods, automatically that's all I crave. I couldn't do it without my food scale. It keeps me honest aka no eyeballing portions. I've lost slowly, but that's ok. I'm an old lady 😝

The thing about flexible dieting is the u don’t feel deprived cause u can eat anything, the best diet is the one that u don’t think it’s a diet

I’m not in a diet, I am just watching my portions.... I can eat anything

It's not a diet is a way of eating that works for life: Not a diet with an end in sight, that's why it works. Set parameters that work for you and your life to lose then change them just a tad for maintenance once you are at your goal. Its not a magic solution, it does take time and learning what works for you.
