MRI is done, glad that's over. It was over an hour listening to those awful noises. A couple series of them sent my whole body into muscle spasms, my upper back is still sore and feels like I did a major workout yesterday. Now to await the results. No exercise after that, just some stretching. I had left for work at 6am home at 7 pm. long day.

Food has been OK, I did have 3 beers last night trying to relax my muscles so I could sleep. If I'm over will simply adjust so the calories are OK over the week. When I was researching for ways to lose weight and change my life instead of e diet with an end, I found several sets of research indicting it wasn't really a per day calorie amount but what you average over a time period. I picked a week as easier to track, it has worked for me.

I need to lose the gain from prednisone and inactivity from being sick. Last prednisone was Sunday. The weather is supposed to warm up for the weekend 50 is much nicer than around 0.

I think muscle spasms are very rare to have during an MRI, so that was very unlucky for you. Hope the results will give you some answers. I average my calories over the month - lol! Have a good day WFN 🙂

Hopefully you'll get the results very soon. Funny you mention the average on calories. I read something on Bill's site that said the same thing. Let us know whenyou hear anything on the MRI.

When I go through mine (CTs and Xrays) I usually get some relief by eating tomatoes and bananas.

Talked to my doc's nurse today. They have MRI results already!! The migraines are probably stemming from cervical issues. Brain scan was fine. I have a fusion from 2001 so will dig out those records and have requested them to send me the total report which I will probably have tomorrow. Have neuro consults set up and will also have pain management consult. For now some muscle relaxers to see if they help the headaches and neck pain. It doesn't surprise me. I know there is a very good chance of further issues on the discs and vertebrae's on either side of a fusion. So go on from there.

Sounds like it was worth doing. Now you'll be able to get something to help. Take care.

Next morning: Cervical issues make sense however: I'm hoping I get the entire MRI report sometime today via their web site. I'm seriously wondering if the they sent the right MRI report to my doc. It is saying I have bulging discs levels 3, 4 & 5. I believe there are no discs there due to a fusion in 2001 and bone was inserted where the discs were. I need to hunt for surgery records this weekend and if don't have them get a copy from the surgeon or hospital...

If they'll refer you to PT, find someone who does myofascial release. Deep muscle massage that sets everything right.
