warrenwinter's Journal, 30 January 2017

Well, a happy Monday to the community! I still am using coupons for my birthday, and went to "Cask and Cleaver" for a nice 16 ounce prime rib dinner, and an ice cream for dessert, with a bottle of Zinfandel. I found pics of this cute rescued dog, and will post his master's food. Not an advised diet! lol Have a great day!

Social Security recipients, who are mentally incapable of taking care of themselves can now easily buy a gun.

They just can't afford to, being on Social Security and all.

Good point!

No more than 7 government officials called Australia today trying to patch up the deteriorating relationship the US President has caused. Embarrassing!

The "Johnson Amendment" to be overturned by Trump, which separates Church and State, as we are now moving to be a Christian nation.

Trump about to approve oil drilling in National Parks!
02 Feb 17 by member: warrenwinter
We already drill for oil in National parks. It's down from it's highest numbers from about 35% to 25% but even Obama did it.

OMG, 123 Yorkie dogs were found by the San Diego Humane Society in a ladies house.

Yes, Rose you are correct, but Obama was restricting the expansion of oil drilling in National Parks, which now will be overturned. We don't need more oil, as we can't ship it out of this country fast enough. Gas prices have collapsed.

Arabella, I have been to Australia twice, and really loved it there, especially in Sydney. The Sydney Harbor is just magnificent. Trouble is, while we were there, an actress from Hollywood let her Visa expire and she was immediately jailed. They don't let foreigners stay over two weeks without a job. They also have very little problem with immigration being an island. Lovely place though.

Funny, Phil! We really think alike. I was messaging that to all my friends today. It is true. Trumps planned trip to Harley Davidson got cancelled, when they found out how many demonstrators were showing up. So Harley Davidson came to him. He loved the optics of them, because so many love the company.

I've been to Australia once and it's beautiful......wonderful people too. :))

Well, you know how I always brag about California, and I doubt I'd ever live anywhere else. Even though Phil is correct. There are many places to make your money go further. Here is an article that puts Texas at #1 for workplace effectiveness. http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/careersandeducation/the-best-and-worst-states-to-make-a-living-the-top-and-bottom-10/ar-BBxKlKo?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp#page=1

Oh, how I wish I could move to the LAST state on this list! HAWAII!

It's remarkably easy to insulate yourself way out in the middle of B-F-East Texas, of course you couldn't jaunt off to Vegas every weekend, BUT, Shreveport/Bossier City is about two hours away and easily accessible!

The thing is, you get really spoiled by the weather here. I have spent a lot of time in Texas over the years. I have relatives down there too.

I know what you mean about the weather, I've got several friends in San Diego that like to rub it in. On the whole the weather here right now is pretty ok, we've had about seven days of below-freezing temps so far this winter, we've been enjoying highs in the 70's and 80's and lows in the 40's and 50's for the last couple of weeks. Summer is what's brutal here, and it starts in March. lol

See your weather is SO much worse than here, but I remember a family reunion in Corpus Christi, and I was sweating like a horse. Funny, the Texans were like, "Wow, isn't this wonderful?" Your temps now aren't so different than ours right now, and we get very hot in the summer too. Sometimes unbearable hot. You just keep the air on full, and don't go outside.
