Good Evening, FS Warriors! Yep, I'm still alive. I have been plenty busy, but I haven't done well at losing weight. While it is true that it could be a lot worse, I am not happy that it hasn't been a high priority for me. I am now the pastor of a small church running anywhere from 35 to 45 people each week. I love preaching and teaching, and I've got a great group of people. I can walk to church, and try to divide my time between home and the Pastor's study. I still sing in the nursing homes, and lead the worship group at church. It has been a challenge just keeping up with the mowing - at both places this year; it rains just often enough that the grass can't dry thoroughly, and then it gets tall enough to bail. It looks like things will slack off now. It is amazing how much difference a week makes. Last week it was in the 80's; today it felt like it could snow. Well, I hope that everyone is doing well; I haven't had time to check all of my buddies' pages. Take care. Toodles!

I didn't realize you were a pastor. That's is an amazing, sometimes rough job.

Welcome back DK! Congrats on becoming a pastor, I remember you posting about going to school for it a while back.

Well, I really did not think that I was called to be a Pastor. I always have enjoyed preaching and teaching. When the Pastor and his wife announced that they were leaving for a larger church, we were all devastated, but I felt like the Lord was telling me that he had prepared me for such a time as this. Apparently, the District Superintendent agreed, and the rest is history.

I have missed all of you also. And Jim, I am not done with school yet; I've probably still got another 2 or 3 years of it. I finished the absolute requirements for the appointment, but it will be a while before I am ordained. Things are probably a bit different in the Nazarene community than in other denominations.
