abbadabba's Journal, 27 September 2016

So I think I have to give myself a "D" for effort this week - no day did I hit my steps goal of 12,500 steps. Despite the camaraderie of the coworker joining me at lunch, I do think she has slowed me down. I really have to get in 2 or more solid miles in 40 minutes at lunch, for heart rate and steps purposes and I can't really go at my own pace when I am walking with her, which is fast and then slow and then fast again, just because it seems impolite to make her follow my lead or to leave her behind.

Sunday I caught a cold and feel miserable, that is my excuse for the beginning of this week. Plus side is that I don't feel like eating, and also the trainer says come to class anyway.

Feeling pretty sorry for myself, that I have so far to go. At this rate I won't get to my goal til maybe March. Not sure I can keep this up that long. Maybe I will feel better after I am not sick. Wah, wah. sorry about the whining.

Hope you are having a great day...

You don't need to push yourself when you're feeling sick. Practice self care; love yourself. Sometimes we need to curl up and rest.

Totally agree with Erika. If you're sick talk care of yourself. If you push yourself too hard you're liable to just get sicker.

Just keep remembering that you didn't put all the weight on at once and it won't come off all at once! One day at a time, slow and steady!! You can do it!!

Whining is one of the great benefits of FS -- everyone lets you whine just a little, stops you when you get out of control, but gives you the room to be a bit whiny. We're in the same boat: I don't imagine I will hit my goal until March, but I'm staying with it. Just FYI -- since I started ice skating almost every day, I've had to start eating more because I was just too hungry! -- so my weight loss slowed to a crawl, but I didn't gain, and I'm feeling good. SO let's just stick together and get the job done!

Well I know how you feel I was feeling lousy for two days but I felt great today. I know we all have our down tie but thanks to you guys I keep it up. I do the exercise but can not get it corded so I am just letting everyone I do exercise a little then it turns into dancing listening to music. It really makes you feel good. Keep with it ok
