PokeyJack's Journal, 04 May 2016

Got up 3 hours earlier than usual in order to get my laundry done, so it's a good thing I went to be so early last night. Really liking this Turmeric Latte in the morning, which is good because I'd been drinking black tea, which has stained my lower teeth. Also glad I had that fat bomb before going to my dental appointment, as it took forever.

And man, oh man, dental work on a pre-molar is hard on the jaw, what with that forcing-the-mouth-to-stay-open-with-a-dam and stuff. On the other hand, I got good news(to me anyway, as the dentist looked a bit forlorn): I won't get a permanent crown after all! She, unbeknownst to her, told me, in essence, "You won't have to surrender your flipper for a week -- thus going to your book discussion, class, and yarn-spinning meet-ups looking like a tiny bomb went off in your mouth (anyone else remember that cringe-inducing animated short?) -- because the lab won't need to make sure the crown fits, as you're not getting one."

Annnnd, when I got home I didn't immediately stress-eat, like I usually do (did?). I just got back to "playing catch up" with my computer. I did decide, however, to eat my avocado raw(so I could "squoosh" it around and enjoy its delightful flavor) when the time comes. LCHF for the win!

Hey Pokey Jack, good luck with the teeth. They are so important, and as you get older, they naturally get worse, and more expensive.

#Keto4Life - Let the Fat Bomb just melt in your mouth too.. Hopefully there aren't any nuts that need to be crunched in that.

@Frosty, there are no nuts in this recipe for fat bombs, although I am nosing around for a recipe that contains them, as I can't eat beef, dairy, eggs, or fish for protein/fats. @warren, truer words were never spoken! Even though I have avoided needing dentures for longer than my parents did (I'm in my 60's and they were both in their 50's) or my grandmother (who was also in her 50's), the natural teeth I have left are in pretty sad shape, so I wanna do for them as much as I can!
