Had a great after school/dinner with the grand kids Yesterday. The two younger ones helped me dig about 5 pounds of yukon gold potatoes and that is always fun watching them dig through the dirt and finding the hidden prize! We had spelling practice and then the oldest one worked on her cabbage report. She grew a cabbage over the summer, and is turning in the data today and will be entered in a contest for a scholarship, sponsored by Bonnie Plants. Its nice to help them know where their food comes from!

I made some homemade potato chips and I was able to resist them. The kids gobbled them up alongside lean burgers, vegetables, and they topped it off with homemade blueberry milkshakes. Did I mention they are spoiled?
