Neat! Though I'm unsure about the vaccine bit. I was hoping it might say WHY it's dangerous, but I couldn't find that info. I've heard there are different type of flu vaccines, so I don't know if this is distinguishing them apart. Some flu shots use a weakened, live virus while others use a dead one. I can't tell off hand from the info provided which form of the virus that vaccine has. Apparently the popular flu shot "is indicated for active immunization... against influenza disease caused by influenza virus subtypes A and type B contained in the vaccine." Ok? The article definitely raises concern, but I don't know how reliable the information it offers is. A lot of people are reporting injury as a result, but how is it in proportion to the total number distributed? Is it the same vaccine causing these injuries? What are the ingredients thereof? I don't have enough info yet, but I'm going to try and find out more. 

Thanks for sharing! After doing years of research on vaccination, I usually find myself not sharing information due to being berated. Such a hot topic with people and it is very controversial. I can tell you as a government employee...we are told what they (the government/media) want us to know and there is much that is kept hidden. I have vaccine injured family members so it hits home for sure.  

ironically, my office just sent a city-wide e-mail encouraging everyone to get the flu vaccine...one must also understand that the government and the pharmaceutical industry are extremely linked and vaccines are a huge money maker for both. OK, getting off my soap box now... 

I've never had the flu shot before, and I am wary of getting it. There is a lot of info out there, but I don't know how much is good. I don't think people are dumb for being anti vaccination if it's for the right reasons and it's an informed decision. Something that I found that is good to know are that not all flu shots are alike. [url=http://www.cdc.gov/flu/professionals/acip/2013-summary-recommendations.htm#primary-changes] I don't know if the vaccines without the mercury are safe, but it's nice being able to tell what you are getting if you want to get the flu shot. Also, if you think you are having an adverse reaction to a vaccine, don't wait on it too much. Get checked and consider reporting it. (There's a statute of limitations for when the HHS will compensate an injury claim. Why it's the HHS and not the vaccine manufacturers being held responsible for compensating damages is unfathomable/ dismaying to me.) [url=http://vaers.hhs.gov/index]

I'm a big supporter of breastfeeding(19 months and still going strong:-)) and homemade formula sounds like a great alternative to store bought formula for those unable to breastfeed! 

I have breastfed all my babies too. But when I tried to switch my 4th kid to milk he was allergic to lactose until he was 3. 

My girls get bloated from cows milk so they are on oat milk and are much better since! 

Home made formula... interesting!! I stay out of the vaccination debate. It's too difficult if you have strnog feelings one way or the other, and rarely will anyone change their mind :P
