I've also never heard of the tumeric and yogurt combo. Is that all there is to it? Does it taste good? I know I cook with yogurt or coconut milk, with curry.

I would have never thought of putting turmeric with yogurt. Is it regular yogurt or Greek? I going to try it with Laban yogurt and Tahinie for a high protein low fat dressing.

The yogurt in the little dish on my Tweety plate contains real yogurt, tumeric, a dash if both black pepper and sea salt. I only use plain yogurt made from 4% milk fat, regular milk. If you can't find full fat plain yogurt at your store, complain to the dairy department manager or try the local health/natural foods store. If you don't care for the flavor of a certain plain yogurt brand, don't give up on it, just try another brand since even plain yogurts have subtle flavor differences. I'm from the 60's hippy generation and can't stand what the stores are passing off as yogurt now days. I won't use those low fat/no fat yogurts. They are tasteless yogurt wanna-be's. That's why they make them starchy and add sugar. They are thinkened with corn starch, yuck! Real yogurt is thickened naturally with bacteria, a similar process that's also used to thicken sour cream or buttermilk. Real yogurt is as thick as or thicker than sour cream. I'll add my own goodies to my yogurt too, thank you. Any spices, chopped veggies, seasonings, fresh fruit you like are all tasty. Real yogurt tastes more like sour cream and not pudding or ice cream. If I want sweet yogurt I use a little Stevia and fresh or frozen fruit. For a savoury yogurt dip I hit up my spice rack for ideas. I've been using more tumeric lately to season things. It's supposed to be very healthy. Google it to read up on the powers it has. It's got some kick to it so start with a just a dash. Tumeric also goes well with poultry and fish.
