Day 3 of 3 days of planned eating
I am sooo ready to start my fast on Monday. Eating is just too stressful! Yesterday I put all my planned food in and started the day off.
Then I had to go meet a friend at a coffee shop and as I was leaving there were these small "nut balls". I was thinking that eating one before my run would be a nice low carb treat. Turns out it was a nut 'paste' that was 17 carbs. I should have thrown it away (@jimmiepop would have said 'flush it down the toilet!'). But I ate it :( This lead to Ritz crackers, this lead to... My problem is I get on a "carb train". I have some carbs, then 1/2 an hour later I want more, and so on and so on.
Arggg No wonder after 8 years on this site, fasting is the only way I was able to get below 200
A huge shout out to @Becc@ for getting me to look at what I was doing (this is in the middle of my 'spinning out') and this gave me the motivation to stop it, by finally going on my planned 7 mile run. For those that have exercise as an option, a 1 hour walk or run WILL kill your appetite. At the end of my run I have to walk by the Kentucky Fried Chicken down the street. The doors were open and the smell was spilling out. The thought of eating at that moment turned my stomach.
Anyway, I was able to minimize the 'damage'. Last weekend I did 155 carbs, yesterday I only did 84 carbs :)
Today is the day of one of my wife's big "Dinner Parties". To get an idea of how big of a deal this is to her, I included a picture of the table that was set 4 days ago! There will be multiple courses of food. Yes, I COULD stay away from the Hawaiian Bread roles and the twice cooked potatoes but who are we kidding??
The fast re-starts tomorrow...
