My best bet is to go when I have very limited time to get the shopping done. I can’t afford the time to even look at the junk. The worst part for me is waiting in the check out- soooo much junk. Good luck

I think I managed pretty well at the grocery today, stuck to the list pretty well and tried reading the labels before putting stuff in my cart. I really wanted pickled beets until I saw how much sugar was added to them. Why do they add sugar? Beets are already pretty sweet tasting. I did buy that big jar of black olives that I wanted and ate six of them with my solid white albacore tuna for dinner with strawberries for dessert. Most people would think that was strange meal but I know this group understands strange cravings. My Tuesday afternoon stitching group (knit/crochet) tolerates my odd snacks because sometimes you just have to eat something safe to help you avoid the treats/sweets others bring in to share. Then there's the nice little grandma who brings bags of miniature candy bars to my computer class at the college. She has started to bring sugar free ones now too. Yikes, oh well, her heart is in the right place. Everywhere you go someone is passing out treats. I'm planning a citizenship party, at the library where I tutor, for one of my learners. She is in the final stages of getting her U.S. Citizenship. And yes we will have cake. As long as it's NOT chocolate I'll be able to resist, but God help me if she requests chocolate.

I just did the same! I got through target in about a half an hour. Put a large dent in my wallet, bought zero junk, but sadly did not bring my list and forgot some stuff. Boo. Just put a timer on it and move quickly!
