The WFPB diet allows me to lose weight without counting calories which is a huge deal for me. It allows me to cobble meals together without much concern and I get to eat until I'm satisfied and not up until my calorie goals met. Of course calories are lower and that is why I lose weight, but I don't have to track them, my body tells me when I've had enough.

The next step is to cut back on my weigh ins. I'm nervous to try this, but I'm going to weigh in only once every week without data filtering and hopefully move that to once a month. Ultimately, I'd like to be able to be at a normal weight and be able to sustain it without putting in so much mental effort to keep myself on track. I still have some weight to lose to get to my goal but that will keep coming off with what I'm doing.

This will free me up for other personal improvement undertakings. One issue I spend too much useless time on the internet. I need to learn to pick up my cellphone when I have intent and not because I don't want to think too hard in the moment or I am bored. This one is more difficult because the objective goals are not as clear.
178.2 lb Lost so far: 28.4 lb.    Still to go: 13.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 5.6 lb a week

I'll still be hanging out, probably posting a little and what not. I'm still in it to get to my goal, I'm just confident enough with what I'm doing that my daily weigh ins aren't needed anymore. But I need this break. It felt weird not stepping on the scale this morning and I noticed I was becoming worried if I was in 178s or 177s and all of that recently.

You've done terrific Kevin, I only weighed every two weeks couldnt deal with the fluid retention and body fluctuations. What ever you think is best do it!

I only get worried about my weight when I look at the chart and see i t reversing in the wrong direction or going sideways for a long time I'll worry when I start losing my health, mobility, eating wrong; overeating the wrong foods, not exercising etc. I can just feel weight gain in my body, i don't even need a scale but I'll jump on the scale to confirm it, in my mind it catastrophes the magnitude of my weight gain even if it's only 2 pounds in a week. I stopped using a scale for checking weight loss but more for checking weight gain then I just reverse my bad habits i found that this psychology helps to lose weight without making a mental thing worrying about the time component, most of the weight battle is mental impatience and inability to maintain a sustainable consistent effective weight loss diet lifestyle.

Thanks for the support :-). It's a weird feeling not stepping on the scale but I think it's a good thing. I bust have to make sure that what I eat is the healthiest it can be :-)

I do weigh every day and always have, it’s just habit. But the daily number doesn’t bother me, it’s the trend I want to follow. As a nurse, we often see patients whose changes in wt. is the first indicators of a disease process and oftentimes that is the patients presenting complaint. Diabetes, tumors, heart failure, cardiac issues, etc.
