You are doing so good. I am in the middle of a fast so there is no hunger, but I wanted to eat sooo bad. If I had just one bite of solid food there is no way I would have not eaten 2500 calories yesterday. And forget that Keto food I am thinking a box of ritz crackers. Your self control is amazing. You are just human :)

@Adefwebserver, I can't wait until my fast on Friday. Truth is, I want to eat all the time, but it is easier during a fast to just not eat at all for me. Even the days I eat are better (except for Monday lol) once the fast is over, I just eat less naturally. Missed that this last weekend. Good luck to you, you are doing great!

@Steven Anthony - Thanks1. And yes this is why I fast. Easier to not eat. The challenges I am facing now are 1) Started on water only on Monday rather than today (Wednesday). So rather than being at the end of my water fast I am in the middle. Great for weight loss but now I will have to be in the middle of the "Keto Flu" symptoms of low energy, headache ect. I must push through this. I know from my 11 day fast a month ago that when I switch to pure fat burning I feel great! 2) this weekend my parents will have a memorial day feast. I have no willpower. A huge price will be paid on Tuesday morning. Whatever loss I can manage until then just count on me giving 2-3 pounds back. - - Still it is a blessed life.

@Steven Anthony -I just joined this site. I am doing Keto ...was doing great 1lb a day for ten days and the last three weeks 3 lbs total..I was on steroids for knee injury from 4/29-5/3...other than that doing ok.staying in minimal ketosis..not sure why the slow down of ketosis and weight loss. Are you following a specific diet?

@Grammacarol, when first starting Keto Diet, most of us lose 10 lbs of water or more. So, I always realize that when I go out of ketosis, I will gain that overnight back again. So, for me, fat loss is much slower, about 1 to 2 lbs a week depending on my exercise. Good luck to you!

Great comments by all. I am new to this concept, but think it is a logical process to follow. I started a garden so me and my neighbors can enjoy fresh veggies. Here in Georgia just about everything grows into November (sometimes December) pretty well. Starting new seeds every three or four weeks keeps me busy too. Who wants some sweetest pumpkins for November pie making? Totally organic.

I noticed I have higher ketones when I don’t use any sweeteners. I drank a Bai last night and my ketones were loser this morning. But, to make this a lifetime change you need to have some of the things you love!

Yes, you are right, it's NOT a sprint, it is a marathon. Up a mountain with waterfalls, chasms, and pits of doom. So we all struggle to get around these obstacles called "life" but you are strong and determined so I know you can do it!

@Tabbigurl, that's interesting about the sweeteners. I use very little. I do have fat bombs on hand, but I forgot to put the sweetener in them this time and realized they taste good without, more chocolate peanut flavor. @Ny-shelly, thanks for your support and encouragement!

@Tabbigurl I am drinking alot of diet A and W root beer and Crystal light as well as eating sugar fee jello. I wonder if that is making a difference with my keytones. What is a fat bomb?

Fat bombs are small snacks about 2 oz that are mostly fat and help to get through low energy afternoons. When on Keto Diet sometimes you get a slump or just want something sweet to get you through. There are some awesome recipes on youtube for different ones. I mostly like the chocolate/butter/coconut oil/Peanut Butter ones, but there are all kinds.

Fat bombs are made from good fats. When doing ketogenic, you have to limit carbs and protein. Sometime, you have left overs calories you need to fill. What’s left of carbs and protein are reached? Fat!! So, fat bombs are for those times that fat is all that’s left. Sweeteners do react with hormone levels which hinders fat loss. Gotta watch the ones like aspartame and Splenda .

Thanks @Tabbigurl. I looked up some recipes and those do look good. I have been mostly watching my carbs with little regard to fats and calories so am adjusting that as well as watching sweeteners. It's really great to read about other journeys and get tips. Hopefully down the road I can give as well as receive!
