My blood sugar just refused to stay up yesterday. Had to keep checking it every half hour during computer group. Ate a few glucose tablets to keep me going until group was over. Afterwards I went to nearest restaurant, Olive Garden, and had salad, soup and one of their garlic bread sticks. Normally I avoid bread, especially white bread but I seemed to really need the carbs yesterday. I it's been awful trying to balance carb cuts with insulin. Doctor keeps changing my insulin dose but I can't lose weigh taking all this insulin. The standard diabetes diet is horrible for me so I have cut their recommendations for carbs in half. Now I just need to find the correct insulin/carb balance to keep my glucose in check and not go too high or low. I hate this see-saw!
