Crap. Unexpected guest tonight, my BFs dad stopped by and is staying the night here... he's just passing through for business. They're going to be staying up late and talking and whatever else and I don't think I will have a chance to go workout. It's aggravating! I mean, I could, but it'd be kinda rude I think... but seriously. This cramps my style man. Ah well, I hope I can find time, if not, I know that tomorrow we are doing a highway clean up and it's supposed to be HOT, so walking around outside and picking up trash will burn some calories (though I don't know how to count that). I know we're also going out to a bar afterwards because one of the girls in our department is leaving for good (she graduated) so they're having a going away party. I'm going to try to be good and not eat bar food, and drink only the 55 calorie beer (bleh) if anything - so that I'll feel like working out when I get home. Oh well, here's to hoping!

Yuck...don't you hate it when reality has to come crashing down just when you think you can control the situation? Good luck to you. I guess we have to realize we'll have these things coming up throughout our lives so we can adjust to them, stick to our guns, or give in a little and know we'll make up for it later. I guess it's all in the choices we make. Sometimes it's good to give in some. Oh hey. I just saw Jillian Michaels recommend being strict with your diet three days a week, moderate three days and allow yourself a weekend day to splurge a little. Claims it keeps the body from going into survival mode by confusing it as to how many calories to expect. I've heard that before - just not from her. Or maybe have the beer and stick to your guns on the bar food. Eat some veggies or an apple and a chunk of cheese first? Some people swear by a glass of whole milk (haven't had whole milk in a hundred years!) - that it makes you full for the whole day... I don't know, but I'm pulling for you. You can't do nearly the damage I did over the weekend : )

That's really interesting D! I have heard something about changing up your diet now and then to keep your body from going into starvation mode, but like you said, not from someone like Jillian Michaels. What I need to do is make sure I stick to my workout guns, it's been too easy lately to just not workout... especially because my spring allergies are becoming horrible!! What I'm going to try to do is work REALLY hard while doing the highway cleanup, so I can burn some calories (and feel it) and then maybe I can get away with having like a salad (no/little/light dressing) at the bar. Problem with bar food is it's so hard to record on here... I could make the same food as they serve at a bar here at home for like 1/10 of the calories!! So yeah, Maybe I can sneak away from the group for a minute or bring some snacks with me (I have some filling protein meal bars) so that I can eat before we go to the bar, and not be tempted! Anyway, I'm so glad to hear from you, thanks for the support!! :D
