LadyM Rox's Journal, 18 March 2018

Shortly after new year's I had weighed just to have a baseline in my head. It was 280, which I thought cool better than 293 from a year ago. But I am well aware that I'm not at my healthiest (use the can I climb a flight or 2 of stair without getting pissed test). I have been consciously eating more veggies and more seafood (mostly shrimp and swai). Veggies cause I don't like I'll take a fruit to avoid a vegetable (not a fan of either but life or death choice I choose fruit). And swai cause its easy to cook and I noticed recently that red meat was getting harder for me to digest. I have also removed pasta, rice (much to my mother's dismay), bread from my food rotation about 80% of the time. I totally went town this past week but overall they don't make much of an appearance. I have tried to up my water intake and has been hit or miss. Flavouring my water helps so does cold water. But water is so hard, which is sad and funny since that all I drank as a kid (sodas and such were relegated to special treats) and the damn liquid is vital for life (in the body and on the planet-go figure). So apparently those itty bitty changes helped even though I really wasn't focusing on it (cause my diet always starts tomorrow...always). I'm glad I got up and weighed myself (instead doing it later, laying down is f'ng comfortable down right blissful). I know now changing a little, just a slight pivot can make all the difference. I'm not on a diet (that word triggers me and I shutdown/resist it and I have to accept that) I'm just accepting that I want a healthier life so I will a do healthier and helpful things. Being stubborn wasn't working, sticking my head in the sand was just stupid. Since I'm bloody brilliant (cause I say so) I will do brilliant things for myself. Ok awesome pep talk now going back to bed protection duties....oh crap body will only remain on duty if it had remained in prone position...oh well healthier things it is.
