Toni Bourlon's Journal, 14 March 2018

I haven't been tracking lately, because I've been cooking so much at home. Lame excuse, I know. I can see I'm starting to eat more chocolate again, so probably need to start tracking again & just guestimate those homecooked meals. I have been keeping up with the exercise portion - last Sunday I did three sets of 10, though I did back off the weight a bit for the overhead press & reverse lunge. Afterwards I did manage to run a mile, which is great because the previous time I wasn't able to run for more than a few minutes. Last night was interval running, and I tweaked the program a bit. I ran two 30-sec intervals, then two 45-sec intervals, then two 1-minute intervals, and WHEW! Tonight is another weight-lifting session, and I will see if I can run a little faster afterwards. Wish me luck!

I guess it boils down to what you want. Try to find something sustainable. Apparently recording works (for a little while), but seems unsustainable. I just choose to say no to some foods and yes to others, and keep it there. I recorded EVERYTHING I ate for 1.5 years and it consumed too much time. What I did learn was what made me hungry, filled me, what fuled me and what slowed me down, best off all portion control and discipline. I no longer record, but am well aware of my what I eat. BTW, after maintaining my weight for a year, I tossed any cloths that I considered my "fat cloths" so when they got snug, I went back to the grind. You have to change something.
