OK! This is the second day of my new adventure of taking care of myself and to being more conscious of what I am putting into my body. After getting on the scale this week and realizing that I have gained 20 pounds since my wedding two years ago I’ve been inspired to get my butt in gear! I had not gotten on the scale in over a year because I was afraid of what it would say. In a way, keeping myself in the dark was a great excuse to not have to face the truth. But what’s funny is that once I actually saw the truth on the scale I had to accept it. And the thing about acceptance is that it takes away the fear. And now that I have accepted where I am, the weight that I am, the shape that I am, now I have the courage to move forward. I went to a doctor and am working with a team of professionals to or myself with the tools to do this a healthy and productive way. I know that the challenges are going to be tough but I am looking forward to seeing my results!
