During the biggest part of my life since my youth I have been trying and trying and trying to lose weight.
When I was young I was actually slim, but never felt slim. After the birth of my second child, I had strange symptoms, like swelling, itches, being eternally tired, and, yes gaining weight.
After getting the diagnosis of being prediabetic, with medication, I started a low-carb-lifestyle, lost 44 lbs, and was able to drop the medication.
I could not, however, keep the weight off in the long run. I wanted to have some carbs again, and subsequently gained 20 lbs back. Since then it's up and down, losing 10 kg, gaining 10.
I'm sick and tired of it, read lots of diet books and decided to try my own combination now, the way of life I feel best with.
I'm gluten, lactose, soy and carrageen intolerant, with maybe more hidden intolerances, as I still have occasional symptoms.
Being overweight is not so terrible, not the way it is now, but I know, should it get out of control again, I'll certainly have health problems, walking is not as easy as I would like it and shopping for clothes is a nightmare, or looking into the mirror for that matter. And I hardly have any clothes right now, always hoping, that what I'd buy today, won't fit tomorrow...
So - let's get going!!!
