reaching out to anyone who’s got the keto diet down.
there is so many articles about it and some are controversial to others. I want to start this.
Would love some guidance, meal plans, book ideas or even website recommendations.

Hey, I've been in keto for a month now. Studies show that reducing the variety and complexity of your diet makes you less likely to overeat and more likely to follow a diet, hence I only eat once a day during breakfast. Eating once a day, or intermittent fasting, let's you take advantage of insulin sensitivity which makes you feel much fuller and more satisfied by the same food. I use Ketostix that are available at most pharmacies to measure my ketosis. If you want to shorten the amount of time it takes to get into ketosis, take exogenous ketones combined with a ketogenic diet. Finally, make sure your macros are aligned at 5% carbs, 70% fats and 25% proteins to sustain keto. consuming more than 100-200grams of carbs is almost guaranteed to kick you out of keto and it may be more or less depending on your body type and genetics. The absolute max should be 50 grams a day.

Also: when you start keto / low carb, limit carbs to 20 g per day; and make sure you supplement salt with 1 - 2 cups of salty broth or bouillon every day. Early on (first 4weeks) Ketostix will register acetoacetate (AcAc) ketone in your urine, but as your body adapts it will use them and will only shed a trace in urine. Taking BHB supplement won't read on the ketostix since those measure AcAc. After you become keto - adapted, 4 to 6 months on, and you are used to the way of eating, you can introduce more carbs slowly, one at a time.

u just put a scoop in water or protein drink one to three times a day and poof! your in ketosis if you fall out. Not recomended to use all the time.

I don't think you can do better than dietdoctor.com - that website will tell you all you need to know. It's easy to read and has lots of pictures showing you all the foods to eat and not to eat, and lots of recipes too. I don't do keto myself but good luck with it 🙂
