ScoobySnacks's Journal, 18 May 2012

I've been taking a peek at the "Can you stay for dinner" blog every time I need some inspiration or an extra little push.

Last night I didn't workout at the gym (although I did workout for 30 minutes via video in the morning); my ankle is bruising a little (and getting some swelling to boot), so I wanted to rest it up a bit last night and today. I think Saturday I'll do the video in the morning and pool exercises (just give it an extra day to hopefully build back up it's strength). For those of you who don't know, I had an ankle injury at the beginning of February which sidelined me for 3+ months which I went to Physical Therapy for.

Anyways, heading into the weekend I'm a little bit nervous because I have a sister visiting from Colorado which means I'll be surrounded by temptation and definite peer pressure (both in food, laziness, and alcohol). I'm actually not too worried, because I do think that my resolve is pretty strong still (I'm pretty stubborn once my mind is set), but I'm nervous of a "weak moment" that will undo 90% of my work this week. I mean, seriously, one bratwurst is like 300+ calories (not including all the sides that go on it).

Anyways, good luck to everyone and hopefully your weekend is motivation in itself! :)

For my reference later (and yours if you need encouragement when I finally start losing some centimeters), I've included the measurements I took Wednesday. :)
