Even though I have been eating mainly fruit and veges, I have taken more notice of GI, fructose and portion size, and at last I am seeing some results.

For example I always thought pears were innocuous, but they are high in fructose, along with dried figs and dried apricots, which was my choice of snack (along with a couple of almonds, or walnut or brazil nut), but I have not replaced them as they ran out.

And I am cutting right back to next to nothing the odd treat, that I probably had too often!

I am hoping to have time to enter food soon, but this is the week we do the concerts at the Aged Care homes, most 30kms away, so it takes care of the day. Actually the one today gives us lunch in the hospital canteen, and I had salad (no dressings) and a piece of quiche, admittedly with a very thin crust, but not what I would eat at home.
