Despite cheating and having a sandwich, potato salad, and sweet tea (You can't say "No" to Grandma's food), I am still down 3 pounds in weight! I am losing anywhere from 0-3 lbs a week.
This week I introduced nuts to my work diet. My strategy: If I'm really hungry I get a cup of scrambled eggs and an unsweet tea for breakfast. If I'm not hungry (most days), I snack on a nut mix I found (almonds, pistachio, and cashews) and drink water.
I also found that dropping carbs and sweets makes me a lot less hungry. Friday night I skipped dinner because I just wasn't hungry. And guess what: I lived!
I've been bad, though. I'm lactose intolerant and have been eating way too much cheese. I also haven't been bringing my lunches... which is more a money-bad instead of a diet-bad, because I only eat ($8!!) salads or soups downtown.
This week I'm going to try to cut back on my cheeses. I don't know if it will work.
Progress: Lost 6 pounds so far. 10 to go.
