I realized a HUGE thing today...I realized the power food has had over me. Today was my daughters christmas concert, and as excited as I should have been to see my little princess sing the songs she has been working on for two months, I just found myself being nervous about the social event afterwards. I dont know what it is about my daughters pre-school...its almost as though it is a bake off contest and the best pastry and cookie chefs in the world are invited (even though I know more than 75% of the stuff is store bought).

I do have to say though, that my daughter did a really good job...she went up on that stage, sang her songs, waved hello to me every two minutes to make sure I was still watching, oh and cant forget her picking her nose once or twice...it was adorable! Once the concert was over though, my nerves kicked in again...I kept thinking we will just leave...if we leave there is no temptation, but I did not want to applaud and leave, so I ended up staying. To my surprise I surveyed the spread and actually found a veggie tray and some fruit and am really happy to report that I was ok with sticking to the veggies and fruit...funny thing is that I do not remember there being veggies or fruit last year, which means that I obviously did not eat any!

I am happy that I have finally made the decision to be healty...I really want to set an example for my kids, and I want them to know the importance of not letting food control them. I wish I had learned that what I was young, but hey...I am still young so I guess its never the wrong time to get started.

GREAT JOB! Remember this for when you're feeling tempted or feeling bad. You had the choice to go bananas, and you didn't. You made the choice to eat in the way which is best for your body. I'm so pleased!
