Baxie's Journal, 07 March 2012

Well, at least it's not a gain, which I really figured it would be. Looking over my RDI and food choices for last week, it's clear I went over every single day, some days by fewer than 50 calories, others by 100-200. And it wasn't really WHAT I ate, but my portion sizes.

I've decided to recalculate my RDI based on sedentary activity level. I realize it would be more desirable to just get more exercise, but at this point, if I'm not going to do that, the only realistic thing to do is to cut calories. It's not that I get NO exercise, just no "planned" exercise. Nothing aerobic...not even strength training. It's really embarrassing to admit this, and I want it to be different, but the reality is, I don't want it badly enough or I'd do something about it.

Until then, lowering my RDI is only right.

Oh Baxie, you and me both with the motivation, but you do seem more focussed than me at the moment. Couldn't you fit in just 10 to 15 minutes a day to start with? I'm not doing any planned exercise either so I make sure I walk at least 15 minutes of the journey home which I figure is better than nothing at all.
