This weekend turned out to be a total wash. We had to skip kickboxing on Friday because my GF has been having some problems with her neck. She has been working pretty hard at the gym lately, and doing yoga and kickboxing also; I think she just over worked herself a bit, so we took a day off on Friday to recuperate a little.

I still had my insanely long hike planned for Sunday, but that ended up not happening either. I had invited my GF and my sister to come along, and because of everyone's schedules, we wouldn't have had enough time to hike more than a couple miles before it got dark. It worked out for the best; I had stayed out WAY too late with the boys on Saturday night, and didn't wake up until around 10:30 anyways. So, rather than hike through the woods, we walked around the town of Cold Spring, a little town on the Hudson river with lots of character and a bunch of antique shops. We had a lot of fun, had an excellent meal at a Tuscan restaurant in town, and bought some cool old stuff that we don't need. It was a nice day, with not much exercise involved (unfortunately).

Despite the near-total lack of strenuous activity, I did well as far as food, water, and weight. So, I'm not too upset about the whole thing.

I feel pretty good today. I was able to sleep in a little, and take it slow this morning because of our little disaster-recovery exercise here at the office. But I have no idea when I will get to go home tonight, so it's a bit of a trade-off.

I hope everyone is doing well today, and I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
