Started a new diet after collaborating with my doctor. It involves me taking a lot of vitamins, drinking at least 2 liters of water a day, i can't have anything dairy or bread related and each day I must eat 2 portions of fruit, at least 2 portions of veggies, no more or less than 7 oz of protein, and 2 portions of a specific cracker. Each category is restricted to what is labeled on a piece of paper that my doc gave me. Such as I can't eat bananas or peaches (to name A LOT of fruits...) because they are too high in sugar. Such a bummer :( But I have lost 7 pounds from sunday the 14th so I'm pretty happy with it. Doc says that this is a diet designed for diabetics (which I am not but am too close for comfort) and that I should be losing 10-15 lbs a month. Woo! I'm game. If I have to give up some foods in order to lose that much in a month, I'm totally on board. The diet isn't as hard as I thought it would be either. I'm already beginning to not see the appeal in fast food that I used to. I'm excited for the opportunity this presents me with! Now I just have to step up and own it.
