Ok, I might have overdone it today. I had a great run yesterday after a week out on injury and I cut it short to keep from reinjuring myself. Today I pushed through to complete my 4.5 mile run. It felt great and I am glad I am back among the runners again. However, during my shower I started to black out. I felt faint and weak and I had to get out of the shower with shampoo in my hair and soap on my face. I lied down and drank some milk and I felt better in no time. However, that is the first time that has happed to me and it was a really scary feeling. I was glad my husband was home and helped me through it giving me milk and bread.
So I think what I can learn from this is to make sure I get a little more substance in before I head out for a run.

My plan for excursive going forward is to run 4.5 miles on Saturday and Sunday, and then to walk for 45-60 min on Tuesday and Thursday on my lunch break at work. This is because I come home too late at night to run during the weekdays, and I don’t want to run on my lunch break and come back to work all sweaty. So I bought these 2.5 pound weights for your legs and I figure a brisk walk for about an hour will get my heart pumping and keep me in an active life style. Does anyone out there have a really good idea of how to get a workout in at work?

I don't work anymore, but I used to do push-ups in my desk chair. Put your hands on the handles and push your body up off the chair. It worked for me, lol! :-)
