Today marks the end of my first week and I did well. I am very happy with the 8 pound loss. I am not being smug, though. I know that it will slow down dramatically. That's fine. The initial quick loss great and encouraging, but I do think that the initial loss is proportionate to starting weight, so if I had started at 150 instead of 215, I would have been overjoyed with a 3 poind initial loss. I have been sticking to the plan pretty well. I am still having a cup of coffee in the morning because I can't stand the headaches related to caffeine withdrawal, and I think on two occasions I found myself about 1 glass of water short for the day. Other than that, I've done OK. I need to come up with some breakfast solutions. So far, a hunk of cheese seems to be the easiest for me to handle. I am not really a breakfast person, but for about 10 years now I have had to eat breakfast in order to take medication, but I had been accostomed to a piece of toast or a bowl of oatmeal. Those seem easy to tolerate, but - Alas! - no more. I thought I would make some egg salad today. Any ideas for breakfast. Something quick and palatable. Thanks. Oh, and the exercise is still barely happening with me. I do get out and walk, but I have so much pain that it's very limiting. I'll keep walking anyway and hope that, as I lose weight, I will do better.

In the morning I have to be out the door by 5:30. So I make a quick omelet. I spay a bowl with pam. use a 2 egg serving of egg beaters / put in microwave for 1 minute / then throw some cooked veggies from the night before for 1 more minute. Then 1 slice of cheese for 30sec. In 2 1/2 minutes I have a omelet. If you go to the old posts one of our topic's was breakfast. Alot of people suggest different ideas. 8 pounds is wonderful. Great job.
