Another successful fasting day completed. It gets easier as it goes along (not that I ever found it difficult). I tried a different technique to break my fast, this morning. When I first got up, I had a handful of almonds and an apple, then had my breakfast a bit later. The idea is that you don’t feel too hungry and go overboard with your breakfast helpings. It seemed to work.
Warning: TMI alert.
I had another light headed spell, on a toilet visit, during the night. I don’t think it is entirely fasting related, but in a way it is. On my fasting day I drink copious amounts of water and when I go to the loo during the night I am standing there a while (old man’s prostate), and I think it is standing in the dark, head down, that makes me a bit nauseous. Don’t have that problem if I sit down!
Another loo related fact I noticed, last night, was my urine left an oily film on the surface of the water on the WC. Seemingly this is a sign of Ketosis. As your body breaks down Fat the fatty (and oily) residue is removed in your urine.

Well done on having another successful fasting day, Jocko. Just be careful with those loo trips in the night.

I know you mentioned sitting down on the loo before. I don't know if it's feasible to shift from sitting down at first to standing up later. Might that be possible? I'm glad the fasting is working for you, but I'd hate it to be at the expense of a banged head. Good luck.

SP. I'll just sit down in future. Saves having to aim.

Thanks, Jocko. I've never met any of my buddies on here, but I do care about everyone's wellbeing, that's for sure. Have a great day.

Your dizzy spells seem to point toward vertigo which I happen to be an expert on as I have permanent vertigo. Head down or head up will make me dizzy every time but it started off just occasionally making me dizzy. I have now lost my driving licence due to this dam vertigo. If you have it checked out soon enough they can often cure it. I am in no way saying you do have vertigo all I am saying is you describe the symptoms of it.

My husband always has a sit down see at night because he is tired when he wakes he feels safer and there is less chance of a misshap 😊

sorry to be so ignorant. When you do fasting, you have nothing at all from the minute you get up until the following morning? I tho k lwould pass out !!

That is correct I have tea and coffee. I put a little milk in my tea and some double cream in my coffee. There are loads of myths around fasting. If ever you have had planned surgery you will have fasted before. There is nothing to it. It is just a case of putting your mind to it. Conventional dieting doesn't work. 93% of people gain all the weight, and more, back on. I suggest you read "The Complete Guide to Fasting: Heal Your Body Through Intermittent, Alternate-Day, and Extended", by Jason Fung. It explains everything. You can fast for 12 hours at a time or 12 days at a time. How long and when you do it is up to yourself. It is at least worth researching.
