Starting day 3 of the egg fast. I've been on Keto since Labor Day. Haven't lost ANY weight. I was in ketosis until last week. I'm following the program 100%.

I just don't understand why this isn't working.

I took a peek at your food diary for yesterday....Important to eat equal number of eggs to fats. Cheese does not count toward fat total and some people have said it stalls them.

Thanks Rckc. I've been following the egg fast from "I breathe I'm hungry", item for item. Is there a better model for me to follow?

I agree with Rckc...add good fats to egg and add a little movement to your day and ketosis does work.

I see, I was short one fat at lunch and one fat at dinner. I will adjust that today.

There is not one diet or way for everyone to lose weight..... everyone's body is different and react differently due to hormones and body chemistry. There are some that can lose weight just by counting calories, for some this does not work. the main point of keto is that you eat.... you eat meats and vegetables, and also healthy fats.......the things you don't eat is sugar and glutens of grains. The reason behind this is that most individuals have nutritional problems with these items that cause irritation bloating and digestion issues. most people who start on a healthy keto lifestyle slowely add carbs back into their life, but do each food singularly so that way they can see exactly what each food does and affects it has on the body. Keto does not mean fasting...fasting or depriving the body only sends it into starvation mode, which stopps your body from losing weight. nutritional ketosis means tracking your macros is a low carb format (no sugar, no grains) but in a more natural...not processed lifestyle.

and yes you can lose weight in a healthy keto lifestyle....I have lost 40 lbs since july of this year...I do not starve myself...I eat when I am hungry and I really don't crave foods anymore...no chocolate or junk cravings. In have gone from 275 lbs to 230......and I eat big plates of food till I am full

I stopped yo yoing since I have gone on keto. you have some valid points...but in truth you don't fill your plate with bacon...on average you have 4 oz of meat with every meal..the rest is vegetables

I am not going to argue with you...different diet plans work differently for each individual...for me...keto has been a godsend and a life saver...It gave me my life back...It took off the weight and allowed me to be able to become active again.

If you look up the original egg fast it is a little more strict than IBIH. When I've done it I use very little cheese (sad face) and stick with eggs/fat for the most part. I DO love IBIH recipes tho!

Look up Ketogentic Dieters group on FB. Very informative. with any diet it is still cal in vs. cal out. same is true for KETO. You cannot eat just all fat and expect to lose weight.

3 weeks and no weight loss is not okay. You seriously need to change to another program. The Keto is not working for you. Look up the Whole30 program and see if you can stick to that, only 30 days and once finished, shift to quality calorie in program.

garlicnots, hcg is not a steroid and hcg phases does not allow FAT; it does include carbs, as most foods register carbs. HCG phases is fat, added sugars and starch restricted. If you just increase calories, it's a lifestyle diet, with some added quality fats from dairy and protein would be healthy and life extending...

what queenofEngles says is true..if you are not getting any results you should look to see what other changes that you can make, or adjustments that you can do to a preferred plan that fit you!!!

whole 30 looks like an awesome plan as it cuts out the foods that cause the most problems with loosing weight and that can cause health imbalances...there is so many great options out there!!
