Stress and more stress, not following the diet. Tired of giving up bread and pasta, fruit, etc. Trying it again.. was 149 about 3 weeks ago... trying my best not to fall off the wagon again.

ZMouseHeart, I've done the Atkins a few times. Always gained it back. I would go for months avoiding the tastiest carbs Chicagoland had to offer and then, get done in by a PBJ or a something like that, and then the dominoes would fall. I started in April doing an intermittent fasting (not a true fast) called the 5:2 diet. Two nonconsecutive days, for me Monday and Thursday, I consume only 600 calories. The other 5 days, I eat what I want. No stress, no carbmonster stalking me. Might be an option worth looking at. Your post sounded like something I would have written, once upon a time.

It is okay to re-think your diet plan...if giving up certain foods doesn't work for you adjust your expectations. It is not a failure to consider strategies that allow your favs. I figured if I diet without my favs, I will return to them sometime and regain without learning anything in the process. I have practiced moderation, portion control, and better balance and lost the weight I wanted to. But really, don't keep doing what supports feeling defeated. Take care of you.
