I was in the hospital again last week. This time I went in because of my Crohn's. While I was in, I had another 'mini' stroke. I am fully recovered from both strokes now. Out of the 5 major risk factors for a stroke, I have all 5 of them. I am going to work on the weight. Get my weight down and it will help my Diabetes and my high triglycerides. I will also keep my blood pressure in check. Losing weight should also get my HDL level below 40, it is at 41 now. My total cholesterol is 206 and should be below 200, so it isn't that far off. I have to do these things if I want to attempt to stop having these stokes and keep from having a major one.
235.5 lb Lost so far: 6.5 lb.    Still to go: 5.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

That is scary. Doctors today are curing type 2 diabetes with ketogenic diets and fasting. It might be worth your while to check it out.

I stopped to pray for you. It's a scary place to be in <3 Dr. Fung has extensive information on eliminating diabetes, stroke and cardiac issues. Here's a very short video from him, but there are much more thorough and lengthy videos available on youtube, just google his name: http://bit.ly/1O9Z7dw Also, I have intestinal dietary issues and have been on a diet for healing that is recommended for Crohn's called the SCD diet (not weight loss, just foods that are easily digested for Crohn's and other damaged intestine issues). You have a wide variety to select from and then can use those foods for a diet program. I hope that makes sense! I've gone from having pain, the runs and a lot of other less than exciting issues from celiac to no pain and almost completely normal elimination. The link for that is here:http://bit.ly/1qmyvM8
