Another reason why exercise is worth doing for its own sake:

I had a medical exam this morning (for a life insurance application). BP was measured several times, on both arms, and came out to around 95/60.

This is despite eating a ton of food over the last month, including a ton of sodium. I think the nurse's exact words were "95/60. That's great. It's obvious you exercise regularly. I need to be better about that."
