dark eyes's Journal, 03 February 2016

Well, I've been keeping my calorie count reasonably well down for nearly a month but the scale and pant size have not gone down. Sad about that. In 5 days I leave for a month in France. That of course is very exciting but not ideal for my weight lose journey. Hopefully, the walking in France will help overcome the delightful food and that I will have a good bit of self control. Time will tell. I hope to keep tracking food but I'm not sure how well that will be kept up. Wish me luck, friends. If you have advice I'll be glad to hear it. Thanks

French portion sizes are small, and outdoor Farmer's Markets are everywhere, so you'll be fine. I'm currently following a hybrid diet: vegan & French Women's Diets, and it relies heavily on fresh produce (and champagne). Keep us posted!

My advice to you is HAVE A GREAT TIME! Perhaps be mindful of what you eat but don't obsess to the point of not enjoying yourself. It sounds like a dream come true to me!

Thank you gang! @soonsoonsoon It's winter so I don't know how much will be in the produce markets but I know I'm excited to shop and eat there. Regulated portions will be a god send I think lol. I have the book French Women Don't Get Fat. Is that like what you are doing? I'd love to hear how it is going and what you are doing. @Rckc...Thank you, I shall do my best to enjoy every moment. It is a lifelong dream of mine for sure. I'll let you folks know how it turns out. cheers

Have fun! I'm sure you'll be doing a lot of walking. And the different, and likely healthier - at least in regard to being less processed - foods may do you good.

Thank you Chancelet. You're probably right, the food should be less processed and just plain 'ol better for me. Yay!!
