KateAK's Journal, 08 August 2015

I'm 57 now, and was thin until my last child was born. I have fibromyalgia, severe back/spine issues, newly diagnosed insulin resistant :(, hypothyroidism, and seriously bummed with my traitorous body. I can't seem to lose weight. Maybe it's the fibro meds. Maybe my thyroid doesn't care I medicate it ? Who knows ! My doctor says it's hard to lose with all these issues, but I keep GAINING, and I eat pretty lowcarb. It's time I really knuckle down and go back on strict Atkins. I used to teach it to a group in a doctor's office. Look at me now...not so good.

That's all for now.

Don't let all the bad news drag you down. I find myself wanting to be as fit and thin as I was when I was 40, but the truth is 'its not going to happen. We can still work toward being our best, no matter what we've been given to work with. Lets put our focus on healthy eating knowing the health issues will improve with continued clean eating. We can do this, but it will not be overnight or at the end of a week.
