Diggy's Journal, 04 August 2015


Been a difficult first few days. It always is when you have such a departure from what has been normal activity. I helped my good friend Constance and her business partner move weights into a new workout facility. I was nervous about helping at first because of my back, but I figured this would be a good test for where I was in the process.

It was strenuous, for sure, but honestly it felt good. I got a good sweat in. I was able to work on my breathing. I set mini goals within the move to be reached. And at the end of helping out, I felt like I accomplished something. I think that's the biggest thing that has been missing from my mental state is the feeling I get after a workout. Whether it's a run, swim, time in the weight room, etc. I feel like I have achieved something once I'm finished.

Now, my back may still act up on me. But I think I will enjoy the slow walk and climb back into a consistent workout in some capacity.
