I know this is a drastic move but in my family thats exactly what is called for. There are members of my family that are approx 300 lbs so obesity is definitely a concern and such a great fear. When I cannot get control of my eating habits and my weight, I go on a fast. It usually takes me three days and I just drink water, tea, etc. Sometimes I will splurge when I get off of my fast and it feels like it's not me but someone else that is totally out of control. I just go back on the fast again until I get a grip. Never going longer than the 3 days. It's like I am dealing with a completely different person, and I have to get serious to get it's attention. This might sound crazy, but it works every time and keeps me on track for a good long time.
